We seek a skilled, enthusiastic, and imaginative individual to assume the role of Care Assistant within a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Team, overseen by a seasoned SENDCo.

This presents an excellent chance for an aspiring teaching assistant or care worker to garner experience in a thriving primary school in Nottingham City.

Responsibilities:

Assist the class teacher in educating SEND students Ensure the safety, welfare, and overall well-being of students during the school day, whether in the classroom or in an Enhanced Provision unit

Requirements:

Previous experience in childcare or personal care, either personal or professional Experience in a setting adhering to safeguarding and health & safety protocols Strong communication abilities Capable of independent work and effective team collaboration Positive demeanor with a sense of humor Openness to acquiring new skills

Education:

No specific educational prerequisites, but relevant qualifications in childcare or personal care are advantageous

Experience:

Preferably, prior experience in childcare or personal care

Knowledge and Skills:

Familiarity with safeguarding and health & safety policies Proficient communication skills Ability to work harmoniously within a team Positive outlook with a readiness to learn

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications in childcare, personal care, or related areas

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
