Position Overview: We are seeking passionate Psychology graduates to join our team as SEN Teaching Assistants. In this role, you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills to support students with special educational needs in various schools supported by Protocol Education. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of students while gaining valuable experience in the field of psychology and education.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs, both inside and outside the classroom
  • Utilize your knowledge of psychology to understand and address the individual needs of students
  • Assist teachers in implementing strategies and interventions to support student learning and development
  • Help students develop social skills, emotional regulation, and resilience
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create personalized learning plans for students with special educational needs
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology or related field
  • Strong understanding of child development, learning theories, and psychological principles
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to support students with diverse learning needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in responding to the changing needs of students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
