Are you a passionate and dedicated student pursuing a degree in Childhood Studies or a related field?

We are a leading education agency committed to providing exceptional support to primary schools across Leeds.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants with a background in Childhood Studies to join our team and gain valuable hands-on experience in the classroom.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Gain practical experience working alongside experienced teachers to support the learning and development of primary school pupils.
  • Assist in delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities across a range of subjects, fostering a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support pupils with their academic progress, offering one-to-one and small group assistance under the guidance of teaching staff.
  • Promote positive relationships among pupils, fostering a supportive and respectful classroom culture.
  • Collaborate with teachers to create learning resources and adapt activities to meet the diverse needs and abilities of pupils.
  • Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of pupil progress, assisting with record-keeping and administrative tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Current enrolment in a degree program related to Childhood Studies, Education, or a relevant field.
  • Passion for working with children and a genuine interest in their learning and development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school settings and with pupils of varying ages and abilities.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
