Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Behavioural Support at an SEMH School in Barnsley.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with students with SEMH needs, providing one-on-one support and guidance.
  • Implement individualized behaviour management strategies and interventions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement personalised learning plans.
  • Foster a positive and safe learning environment for students, promoting their social and emotional well-being.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to the school team.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs in an educational setting is desirable but not essential
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Relevant certifications or training in behaviour support or related fields is desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
