Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students and supporting their social and emotional well-being? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Worker to join our team!

As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing targeted support to students who may require additional assistance with their behavior and emotional regulation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with behavioral challenges, helping them to manage their emotions and develop positive coping strategies.
  • Implement behavior management plans and interventions in collaboration with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other members of the support team.
  • Support students in developing social skills, conflict resolution techniques, and self-regulation strategies.
  • Liaise with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting students' behavioral and emotional needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of interventions, progress, and outcomes for students receiving behavior support.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people in a support capacity, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of behavioral management techniques and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and establish trusting relationships.
  • Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in behavior support, counseling, psychology, or a related field are advantageous but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
