About the Role: As a Team Teach trained Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse needs, including those who may require additional behavioral and communication support. Working across all year groups, you will provide individualized assistance to help students access the curriculum, develop social skills, and thrive in their learning environment. Your Team Teach training will enable you to effectively manage challenging behaviors and create a safe and supportive atmosphere where every student can succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with diverse needs
  • Implement Team Teach strategies to manage challenging behaviors and promote positive interactions
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Adapt learning materials and activities to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Support students with communication difficulties, including those who are non-verbal
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to inform ongoing support strategies

Requirements:

  • Team Teach certification or equivalent training in behavior management
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant across all year groups, preferably within a school setting
  • Understanding of the needs of students with diverse needs, including non-verbal communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students to reach their full potential
