Protocol Education: Behavioural Support Assistant

Currently recruiting for behavioural specalists who are confident and resilient in working with children who have behaviours that challenge. This particular school is based in Darlington and is ofsted rated good. The role of a behavioural support assistant is to work with children who need a positive role and can effectively de-escalate situations and develop an understanding of how the particular child interprets, learns and responds. You must be an effective relationship builder and effective communicator.

For this role you must:

- Have a minimum level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or willing to complete)

- Relavent experience as a behaviour support assistant or as a support worker

- Good understanding of SEN specifically ASC

- Good re-direction and de-escalation techniques
