Our amazing school in Ealing is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Autism Support Worker to join our team. Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with autism, implementing tailored strategies to meet their individual needs.

  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with autism.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social and academic development.

  • Assist in developing and implementing behavior management strategies to support the well-being of students with autism.

  • Provide ongoing feedback to teachers and support staff regarding student progress and needs.

  • Support students during academic and non-academic activities, ensuring their full participation and engagement.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an Autism Support Worker or in a similar role is preferred. This can be in the form of supporting a relative

  • Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and evidence of successful strategies for supporting individuals with autism.

  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are advantageous.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with autism.

  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational setting.
