ROLE: Attendance Officer / Administrator

LOCATION: North Leeds

Start Date: 15th March 2024

I am working with a mainstream secondary school in North Leeds who are recruiting for an Attendance Officer to work as part of their Attendance team.

The successful candidate will be working in a busy fast-paced school environment.

Responsibilities:

-          Accounting for students’ attendance, which at times can include walking around the school to various departments.

-          Managing safeguarding risk in relation to attendance of students.

-          Liasing with parents / carers.

-          Maintaining accurate data records.

-          Running attendance repots & metrics.

-          Basic administrative skills such as, emails, letters and excel.

Required Experience:

-          Hold experience in an administrative role, within a school is preferred, but other administrative experience is considered.

-          Hold strong interpersonal skills and proven experience working in a people-oriented role.

-          Have a degree qualification, ideally within the Business field, however, other degrees are considered.

-          Hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.

-          Some experience working with a school or with young people is ideal.

Contract Details:

  • This role is full time, Monday to Friday, Leeds term time only and the option to take on additional workdays in school holidays.
  • Working hours: 8am – 3:30pm/ 4pm, with an earlier Friday finish.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
