Job Title: Assistant Pastoral Manager

Location: Yorkshire and the Humber, North Yorkshire, Redcar

Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £150 - £220

Job Duties:

  • Assist the Pastoral Manager in overseeing the pastoral care and well-being of students
  • Support the implementation of strategies to promote positive behaviour and student welfare
  • Provide guidance and support to students facing personal or academic challenges
  • Conduct regular check-ins with students to assess their well-being and progress
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to create a supportive and inclusive school environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar educational or pastoral role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • A genuine passion for supporting the well-being and development of young people

Education:

  • Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field

Experience:

  • Experience working in an educational setting or with young people

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of pastoral care principles and practises
  • Ability to provide guidance and support to students in need
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 4 qualification in Education, Social Work, or a related field
  • Additional training in counselling or mental health support

Working Conditions:

  • Work primarily within a school environment
  • May involve some evening or weekend work for events or student support

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
