Protocol Education are currently working with a school based in Hackney who are looking to appoint a full-time Teaching Assistant working to support and care for Autism Spectrum Disorder students.

This is a great opportunity to work closely with primary or secondary school students where you will receive training and be responsible for the maintenance of the academic and social development of a mixed group of children. You will be working closely with classroom teachers, parents, carers and professionals to create safe and nurturing school environment for students and impacting positive change in their daily lives.

This is a very rewarding role where we are looking for a candidate who is dedicated, enthusiastic and creative as this role will involve creative working and activities e.g., Painting, drawing, singing etc.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing support to class teachers within the classroom
  • Assisting children with SEND/SEMH needs 1:1 and in small groups
  • Supporting pupils in and out of lessons (KS1 – KS5)
  • Monitoring and recording interventions
  • Setting targets for individuals to work towards

 

Must haves:

  • Child workforce only DBS on the Update Service
  • Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
