Protocol Education is currently seeking an ASC Specialist to work at an OFSTED rated good SEN school in Doncaster. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and assistance to children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Education Health Care Plans (EHCP) for children with ASC
  • Assist children with ASC in their academic and social development
  • Work with teachers and other professionals to create a positive learning environment
  • Provide one-on-one and group support to children with ASC
  • Help children with ASC to develop their communication and social skills
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of children with ASC
  • Keep accurate records of children's progress and report to teachers and parents
  • Attend meetings and training sessions as required

Requirements

  • Experience working with children with ASC in a school setting
  • Knowledge of strategies for supporting children with ASC
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and write reports
  • Valid DBS check or willing to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
