Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic and engaging art lessons that foster artistic expression, experimentation, and skill development.
  • Teach a variety of art techniques and mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and digital art.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to students as they explore their artistic interests and develop their own unique style.
  • Organise exhibitions, showcases, and community projects to celebrate students' artwork and promote engagement with the wider community.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art into cross-curricular activities and promote creativity and self-expression across the curriculum.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification in Art Education.
  • Strong artistic skills and a deep passion for the visual arts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Experience teaching art at the secondary level is advantageous but not essential.
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and encouraged to explore their creativity.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
