I am recruiting an enthusiastic Academic Mentor to join the teaching team at a secondary SEMH school in North Bristol. You will play a crucial role in supporting students who require additional small group or one-on-one assistance. Your primary focus will be to help students progress academically and mitigate the impact of lost learning caused by the Covid pandemic.

We welcome applications from experienced candidates who have worked in educational settings, as well as those considering a career in teaching. This role, therefore, provides an excellent foundation for aspiring teachers, offering valuable preparation and insight into the world of education.

Academic Mentor /Tutor

8:15-3.45pm

The Role :   

• Assisting in delivering effective teaching on a one-to-one basis or in small groups English ,Maths AND OR Science KS3-5

• Helping with the planning and delivery of lessons

• Supporting the development of pupils, educational and behaviour related

• Preparing classroom resources

• Providing feedback to teachers and parents

• Helping with extracurricular activities such as revision sessions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
