Job Duties:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students in a classroom setting
  • Assist students with special needs in their learning and development
  • Implement strategies to help students reach their educational goals
  • Collaborate with teachers to create individualised learning plans
  • Monitor and track student progress

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous Experience in Primary Education
  • Experience working with students with Special Needs

Experience:

Prior experience in a similar role within a school setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of educational principles and practises
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Patience and empathy when working with students

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional training or certifications related to Special Needs Education

Working Conditions:

This role involves working within a school environment, supporting students with various learning needs. The work may require some flexibility in hours to accommodate student schedules and activities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
