Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Youth Worker to join our team in Ealing, London. As a Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in engaging with young people, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for personal growth and development. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young individuals and contribute to building a stronger and more inclusive community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with young people in a variety of settings, including youth clubs, schools, and community centers.
  • Provide emotional support, guidance, and mentorship to young people facing challenges and adversity.
  • Plan and deliver a range of engaging and educational activities, workshops, and events aimed at promoting positive behavior and social skills development.
  • Facilitate group discussions and workshops on topics such as mental health, relationships, and personal development.
  • Build positive relationships with young people, parents, schools, and partner organizations to promote collaboration and support networks.
  • Advocate for the needs and interests of young people within the local community and liaise with relevant agencies to access additional support services.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people in a youth work, mentoring, or similar capacity is desirable but not essential.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people and a commitment to their well-being and personal development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and engage with young people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Enthusiasm, creativity, and adaptability in delivering youth-focused activities and programs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and solution-focused approach to challenges.
  • A commitment to upholding safeguarding and child protection policies at all times.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
