Are you an ECT looking to gain some classroom experience? We’re looking for a dedicated Year 6 Primary Teacher to join a warm and welcoming school in Jesmond, Newcastle this September.

This friendly primary school in the heart of Newcastle prides itself on creating a welcoming environment. The school boasts excellent transport links, an onsite car park, and is passionate about making sure every pupil and staff member feels supported.

About the Role:

  • Plan and deliver lessons that spark curiosity and confidence
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Encourage creativity and critical thinking in your Year 3 learners
  • Core hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 – 16:00
  • Start date: September 2025

Who you are:

  • You have QTS or equivalent
  • Ideally a Maths lead (preferred but not required)
  • Strong understanding of the Year 6 Curriculum
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Passionate about helping children reach their full potential
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one)
