Year 6 LSA – Transition & SATs Support

Clifton, Bristol | Ofsted Outstanding Primary School
September 2025 Start | ⏳ Potential to Extend Beyond October Half Term

Ready to help Year 6 pupils stride confidently into their final primary year?

We’re working with a brilliant, Ofsted Outstanding school in Clifton, looking for a calm, capable, and caring Learning Support Assistant to join their Year 6 team this September.

Your mission? Support a confident transition into Year 6 life, think routines, expectations, and friendships and lead small-group SATs interventions to help pupils feel ready for the big tests ahead.

This role is initially until October half term, but could be extended if it's a great fit (which we think it might be).

What you’ll be doing:

  • Working closely with Year 6 teachers to support whole-class learning

  • Running targeted SATs booster sessions in reading, writing, and maths

  • Helping pupils adjust to the pace and responsibility of Year 6

  • Creating a positive, structured learning environment

  • Supporting wellbeing during what can be a wobbly time for some

About you:

  • Experience working with KS2 pupils (especially Year 5 or 6) is ideal

  • You’re supportive, adaptable, and ready to hit the ground running

  • You build trust quickly and know how to encourage without pressure

  • Thrive-trained? Even better! (If not, we’ll help you access our free training!)

With Protocol Education, you get:

  • Weekly pay through PAYE—no umbrella fees

  • Free access to our CPD Academy (including Thrive training!)

  • Dedicated consultant support and speedy placement

  • Access to roles in local, supportive schools that value LSAs
