About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join a welcoming school community in Telford. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and supporting the academic and personal development of Year 5 students.

Your Main Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons to Year 5 students, following the curriculum and schemes of work.

  • Work collaboratively with the Year 5 teaching team to plan inclusive and stimulating learning activities.

  • Assess and monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and keep accurate records in line with school policies.

  • Create a positive, safe, and encouraging classroom environment that supports every child’s growth.

  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive learning community.

  • Uphold the school’s values and maintain a respectful classroom atmosphere.

  • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development to contribute to the wider school community.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT).

  • Experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5.

  • Good understanding of the Year 5 curriculum and effective teaching strategies for this age group.

  • Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work well with students, staff, and parents.

  • Ability to plan creative and differentiated lessons to meet diverse student needs.

  • Competent in assessment and record-keeping to track and support student progress.
