The Opportunity: 

An exceptional primary school in Birmingham is looking for an inspiring and passionate Year 3 Teacher to join their committed team in September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of Year 3 pupils, ensuring their transition into Key Stage 2 is smooth and engaging. Key Responsibilities: 

  • Plan and deliver stimulating, differentiated lessons in line with the Year 3 National Curriculum, focusing on both academic progress and personal development. 

  • Assess pupil progress using a variety of methods and tools, providing constructive feedback and using this data to inform future lesson planning. 

  • Create an inclusive and motivating classroom environment where pupils feel safe, valued, and eager to learn. 

  • Collaborate closely with other teachers, teaching assistants, and school leaders to ensure consistency and cohesion across the curriculum. 

  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed about their child’s progress and well-being. 

  • Contribute to the wider school community through participation in extracurricular activities, school events, and continuous professional development opportunities. 

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. 

  • Strong understanding of the Year 3 curriculum and experience in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons. 

  • Ability to assess and track pupil progress effectively, tailoring teaching to meet the needs of diverse learners. 

  • Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to maintain a positive and focused learning environment. 

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. 

  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
