We’re looking for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with a Year 2 pupil who requires tailored support. This full-time, long-term role offers the chance to make a lasting impact in a values-led primary school.
What You’ll Be Doing

Build a trusting, consistent relationship with a Year 2 pupil requiring additional support.

Work alongside the class teacher to plan and deliver learning activities tailored to the student’s specific needs.

Create a safe, inclusive environment where the pupil can feel confident and supported.

Adapt resources and teaching approaches to align with the student's learning style and any SEN requirements.

Encourage the pupil’s academic, social, and emotional development while promoting independence.

Track and record the pupil’s progress, feeding back to the teacher and contributing to review meetings when needed.

Communicate clearly with staff and parents to ensure consistent support and shared strategies.

Follow school policies and safeguarding practices while upholding its core values.
What We’re Looking For

Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).

Experience working with children on a 1:1 basis, preferably in a school or SEN setting.

A genuine passion for supporting children with individual needs.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Patience, empathy, and a calm, reliable presence in the classroom.

A flexible and adaptable approach, able to respond to changing needs and situations.

Knowledge of effective support strategies and resources for individual learning.

Additional training or qualifications related to SEN or emotional support (desirable but not essential).
