Support Pupils in a Leading Specialist School in Wolverhampton
We’re working with a highly regarded specialist school in Wolverhampton that supports around 400 students aged 2–19 with a diverse range of complex needs, including moderate learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning disabilities, autism, physical challenges, and communication needs.
As part of a multi-academy trust, the school offers a personalised curriculum and a dedicated sixth form, designed to suit each pupil’s developmental stage and help them engage fully in their learning.
The Role

Provide 1:1 and small-group support tailored to EHCPs and individual learning plans

Work alongside teachers, therapists, and care staff to deliver structured, pathway-based learning

Assist with communication, sensory and mobility support, personal care, and specialist equipment use

Help maintain a safe and supportive environment, aiding behaviour and emotional regulation
What We’re Looking For
-
Experience supporting children or young people in specialist or high-needs settings
-
A calm, professional approach with strong organisational skills and consistency in routines

Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across disciplines
-
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, with a commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
Desirable Skills & Experience

Familiarity with PECS, Makaton, sensory strategies, or similar approaches
-
Training in moving and handling, Team Teach, or behaviour management techniques
-
Experience supporting pupils with medical or physical needs
