URGENT: Year 2 Long-Term Cover in Horley
Location: Horley
Start Date: October Half Term
Role: Year 2 Teacher – Full class responsibility
We’ve got a lovely Horley primary school looking for a Year 2 teacher to step in from October half term and stay on for the long haul. The class is settled, the staff are supportive, and the leadership team are ready to make you feel part of the family from day one.
This isn’t a short stopgap – the school want someone who can bring consistency and make a real impact. If you’re confident in KS1, love sparking curiosity in young learners, and can bring structure without losing the fun, this could be the role that fits like your favourite staffroom chair.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading a cheerful Year 2 class with full teaching responsibility
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons with PPA support
- Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff
- Being part of a warm, collaborative team
What we’re looking for:
- UK QTS and experience teaching KS1
- Strong classroom presence and organisational skills
- Someone who can hit the ground running after half term
- Enthusiasm, creativity, and a sense of humour always welcome!
