1:1 Tutors Needed – Teesside & Surrounding Areas
Locations: Middlesbrough, Redcar, Saltburn, Marske, Brotton, Skelton, Normanby, Guisborough, Eston, South Bank, North Ormesby
Got time, heart, and a few hours to spare each week? We’re on the lookout for brilliant educators to deliver 1:1 tuition to pupils who need a bit of extra support to thrive. Whether it’s English, Maths, or confidence-boosting life skills—your skills could be the spark they need.
These sessions are all about making learning personal again. Think library corners, community hubs, and home visits—not classrooms. You’ll be working with pupils aged 4–16 who’ve often missed chunks of school due to:
-
Special educational needs (SEND), including autism and learning difficulties
-
Social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs
-
Being in care or new to the UK
-
School refusal or exclusion
Who we're looking for:
-
Qualified teachers or experienced tutors who love working 1:1
-
Retired educators looking to give back, or current teachers wanting something flexible
-
Patient, kind, and confident in adapting lessons to meet learners where they’re at
-
Bonus points if you’re Thrive-trained (or up for completing it with us—for free!)
Own transport? Even better—you’ll be travelling between pupils in your area, so a car helps keep things smooth.
What to expect:
-
Flexible hours: from 1 to 15 hours per week
-
Immediate and ongoing work available
-
Full support from our friendly, experienced team
-
PAYE pay (no umbrella faff)
-
Free CPD via our online training hub
-
£50 for every friend you refer
Whether you’re already in the swing of tutoring or it’s your first step outside the classroom, we’d love to hear from you.
Click apply or give us a shout—let’s help these pupils get back on track, together.
