Early Years Teaching Assistant

Location: Camden, London
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, term-time only (with potential for long-term placement)
Settings: Nursery & Reception classes across Camden primary schools

We’re looking for caring, enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistants to join our partner primary schools in Camden from September. Whether you’re supporting a busy Nursery class or helping Reception pupils with their first steps in phonics, you’ll play a key role in giving young learners the very best start to their education.


The Role:

  • Supporting teachers in delivering fun, creative, and purposeful learning in EYFS

  • Helping pupils develop independence, curiosity, and confidence

  • Leading small group or 1:1 activities in early literacy, numeracy, and play-based learning

  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment

  • Supporting children with additional needs as required


We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in an Early Years setting (Nursery or Reception)

  • A warm, patient, and proactive approach to working with children

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • EYFS/Childcare qualifications (Level 2 or 3) are a bonus but not essential

  • A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

  • Bonus if you’re Thrive trained — if not, we’ll provide this training free

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
