Teaching Assistant

Protocol Education is recruiting Teaching Assistants in the Shrewsbury area to work in Key Stage 1 (KS1) within primary schools. We have a variety of general support and SEN roles available, with opportunities throughout the autumn term.

Your role
You will support pupils’ emotional, mental, and educational development within the classroom. Typical hours are full-time or part-time, usually 08:30 to 15:30. Immediate starts are available, with additional roles commencing in November.

Who we’re looking for

  • A positive attitude towards working with pupils and staff in a school environment
  • Referenceable experience in childcare or education settings
  • A childcare qualification is preferred but not essential; relevant experience will also be considered
  • Commitment to school hours
  • Ability to provide references covering the last two years
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a DBS registered on the update service

You will work in primary schools across Shrewsbury where Protocol Education has established partnerships with trusted schools.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
