Protocol Education is currently working with a well-regarded secondary school in Wandsworth that is looking to appoint a motivated and reliable Teaching Assistant to join their support staff team from September 2024. This is a long-term opportunity that offers career growth and the chance to make a real impact in students’ learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to pupils aged 11–16 in and outside the classroom

  • Work alongside teaching staff to deliver engaging and effective lessons

  • Offer 1:1 or small group intervention for students who need additional help

  • Support students with SEN and/or behavioural needs as required

  • Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience working with secondary-age students (school-based or youth work)

  • Confidence working across a range of subjects and year groups

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A patient, flexible, and proactive approach

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

  • Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
