Reception Teaching Assistant – Primary School

Location: Camden, London

We’re working with a warm and close-knit Camden primary school looking for a caring and enthusiastic Reception Teaching Assistant to join their team from September for the full academic year.

If you enjoy helping young children take their first steps in learning and want to be part of a supportive school community, this could be the role for you.


The Role:

  • Supporting the class teacher with daily learning and routines in Reception

  • Leading small groups and 1:1 activities to boost early literacy and numeracy

  • Encouraging independence, curiosity, and confidence in pupils

  • Helping to create a calm, safe, and engaging classroom environment

  • Working closely with the Early Years team to plan and deliver creative activities


We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working in EYFS (nursery or reception)

  • A warm, patient and nurturing approach

  • Good communication skills and a proactive attitude

  • EYFS or childcare qualifications (Level 2/3) are a bonus but not essential

  • A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

  • Thrive training is a plus — if you’re not trained yet, we’ll provide it free
