Reception Teaching Assistant – North London

Contract: Full-time, full academic year
Salary: £85–£100 per day (PAYE, weekly)
We are working with a welcoming primary school in North London seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their Reception team for the full 2025/26 academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with early years experience who enjoys supporting children at the very start of their learning journey.
The school has a strong sense of community, a supportive leadership team, and a focus on creating an inclusive, nurturing environment for all pupils. As part of the Reception team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting early learning, encouraging independence, and helping children settle into school life.
Key responsibilities:

Supporting Reception-aged pupils with learning, routines, and play

Assisting the class teacher with activities and classroom management

Promoting social development, emotional wellbeing, and good behaviour

Preparing resources and maintaining a safe, engaging classroom

Providing additional support for children with SEND or EAL (if required)
What we’re looking for:

Previous experience in an Early Years or primary school setting

A calm, supportive, and proactive approach

Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or TA qualification (desirable but not essential)

Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Commitment to a full academic year placement
