We’re working with a welcoming secondary school in Durham that’s on the lookout for a confident, committed Teaching Assistant to join them from September. This is a full-time position for the full academic year.
Whether it’s one-to-one support, small group work or helping maintain focus in a busy classroom, you’ll be a key part of making lessons feel more accessible, structured, and calm.
What we’re looking for:

Previous experience working with young people in any UK setting (schools, youth work, mentoring, clubs—you name it!)

A calm, can-do attitude with a sense of humour and resilience

Someone who’s confident working across a range of subjects and classroom dynamics
The role:

Durham-based secondary school

Full-time, Monday–Friday (term time only)

Starting September, running through the full academic year

£90–£110 per day (depending on experience)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
