Make a difference where it counts

Are you the calm in the classroom chaos? The extra pair of hands teachers can’t do without? We’re on the lookout for a brilliant Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant Birmingham primary school this September.

This is a full-time role where no two days look quite the same—and that’s just how you like it.

Why this school?

Rated Outstanding by Ofsted, this is a school that does the little things right—and it shows. From the moment you walk in, you’ll feel the energy, the care, and the genuine teamwork that makes it such a brilliant place to work.

At the heart of their curriculum is a belief that physical and mental wellbeing is vital—so every member of staff plays a part in creating a calm, supportive environment where pupils (and adults) can truly thrive.

What you’ll be doing:

No two days are the same in this role—and that’s what makes it special.

You’ll be the right-hand support for the class teacher, helping the classroom run smoothly from the morning register to the final bell. Your day might start by welcoming pupils with a smile and setting up morning activities, then supporting targeted group work or 1:1 interventions to help children stay on track.

You’ll be a pro at spotting when a child needs an extra nudge or a calm moment to reset. That could mean working closely with pupils with SEND, helping to adapt resources or breaking down instructions so everyone can access learning.

You’ll also be key in managing behaviour in a positive way, supporting transitions, prepping classroom resources, and even joining in with creative sessions, PE, or phonics games—whatever the timetable calls for!

Whether it’s encouraging independence, boosting confidence, or simply being a steady, supportive presence, your work will help pupils feel safe, seen, and ready to learn.

What we’re looking for:

  • Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Childcare & Education (essential)
  • A solid grasp of the national curriculum
  • Confidence to take the lead on group tasks and SEN support
  • Quick thinking and flexible working—you’re someone who adapts like a pro

What you’ll get in return:

  • FREE access to our CPD Academy (hello, career goals!)
  • A dedicated consultant who really gets to know you
  • Weekly pay (PAYE—no umbrella faff)
  • Opportunities in schools where support staff are truly valued

Sound like a role you’d thrive in? Hit apply and we’ll be in touch to talk next steps. Let’s get you into a classroom where you feel right at home.
