Job Description

Job Duties:

The Teaching Assistant in Greenwich will support teachers in the classroom by assisting with lesson preparation, providing one-to-one support to students, and helping with classroom management. They will also contribute to the overall learning environment and assist with administrative tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Enhanced DBS clearance on Update Service
  • Previous experience working in a similar role
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team

Education:

A relevant educational qualification is desirable but not essential.

Experience:

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational setting is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of classroom dynamics and student needs
  • Ability to provide individual support to students
  • Good organisational skills
  • Basic knowledge of educational principles

Preferred Qualifications:

A Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant certification would be advantageous.

Working Conditions:

The Teaching Assistant role in Greenwich involves working full-time hours on a contract basis. The individual will be based in a classroom setting, supporting teachers and students throughout the school day.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
