Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £90 - £100 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term
Start Date: September 2025
Want a classroom where no two days are the same—and you’re truly valued?
We’re looking for a brilliant Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant infant school in Birmingham this September. If you’re calm, quick-thinking, and love being the steady hand in a busy classroom, this one’s for you.
About the school:
This is the kind of school where smiles at the gate come as standard. Rated Good by Ofsted, it’s a warm, happy, and welcoming setting where staff genuinely support one another—and where pupils are nurtured to become kind, confident learners.
The headteacher leads with care and clarity, and the team culture is one of those rare ones where everyone pulls together. It’s a place where support staff are valued as essential to the school’s success, not just an extra pair of hands.
With a strong emphasis on wellbeing, both for pupils and staff, this school creates a calm, inclusive environment where learning—and laughter—happens every day.
Your role will include:
- Supporting whole-class teaching and leading small group work
- Helping pupils with SEND access learning and stay regulated
- Encouraging confidence and independence
- Positively supporting behaviour and transitions
- Assisting with phonics, creative tasks, PE, and classroom routines
We’re looking for someone who:
- Holds a Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Childcare & Education or equivalent
- Has a solid grasp of the national curriculum
- Can adapt quickly and lead targeted interventions
- Brings calm, patience, and a great sense of humour
