Job Duties:

The Teaching Assistant will support the classroom teacher in delivering educational activities, assisting with lesson preparation, and providing one-on-one support to students. Responsibilities also include helping with administrative tasks, supervising students during activities, and maintaining a safe and orderly learning environment.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent. Enhanced DBS check. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team.

Education:

GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths.

Experience:

Prior experience working in a classroom setting is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

Understanding of child development and learning processes. Familiarity with safeguarding procedures. Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification. First Aid certification.

Working Conditions:

The role involves working in a classroom environment, assisting with various educational activities, and interacting with students, teachers, and parents. The Teaching Assistant may need to adapt to different teaching styles and support students with diverse learning needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
