What you’ll be doing:
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with the class teacher and the wider staff team to deliver engaging, inclusive lessons and ensure all pupils are able to access learning. Your responsibilities will include:

Providing tailored support to individual pupils and small groups, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

Helping to plan and deliver differentiated learning activities under teacher guidance

Supporting pupils with transitions, behaviour regulation, and social skills development
-
Setting up classroom resources and maintaining an organised, engaging learning environment
-
Working alongside professionals including SENCOs and external agencies to implement EHCP targets and learning interventions

Observing and recording pupil progress to feed into planning and reviews
-
Offering emotional reassurance and encouragement—especially when pupils need help settling or staying on task

You will need:

A Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Childcare & Education (or equivalent qualification)

Confidence and competence working across Key Stage 1 and/or 2

Experience or understanding of SEND support strategies

Strong communication skills and a warm, adaptable approach

The ability to remain calm, patient, and proactive in a busy school setting
