Protocol Education is currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Colchester. This is an exciting opportunity to support teachers in delivering high-quality education to students, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Classroom Support: Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons, ensuring a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

  2. Individual Support: Work with students on a 1:1 or small group basis, providing additional support to meet their specific learning needs.

  3. Resource Preparation: Assist in the preparation of teaching materials, resources, and classroom displays to enhance the overall learning experience.

  4. Behaviour Management: Implement positive behaviour management strategies, promoting a respectful and focused classroom atmosphere.

  5. Assessment Support: Assist in the assessment and recording of students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required.

  6. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teaching staff, special educational needs coordinators (SENCOs), and other professionals to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is advantageous.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare (e.g., CACHE Level 3, Teaching Assistant qualification).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of different learners.
