Love bringing the past to life? We’re working with a brilliant secondary school in Darlington that’s looking for a qualified History Teacher to cover a planned absence this autumn term. It’s a full-time role, running from September until Christmas—perfect if you’re looking for a short-term opportunity with real impact.

What’s the school like?

A welcoming, well-organised setting with a strong Humanities team and an SLT that’s known for supporting staff . They’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running, keep students engaged, and make timelines and treaties feel fresh again.

Who they’re looking for:

  • QTS-qualified with experience teaching History at KS3 & KS4

  • Someone who brings structure and creativity to their lessons

  • Confident managing behaviour and building quick rapport

  • Available full-time from September through December
