Protocol Education is supporting a high-achieving secondary school in London to recruit a passionate and ambitious Teacher of English. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a strong English department in a school that places high value on academic success, curiosity, and student responsibility.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Department to help shape English provision, embed the school’s vision, and inspire students to take ownership of their learning. What You’ll Need:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it

Strong subject knowledge in English literature and language

High expectations of student effort, conduct, and achievement

Ability to create a positive classroom environment where all students are motivated and challenged

A commitment to ongoing professional growth and development
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students

Nurture curiosity and deepen understanding through questioning and discussion

Identify and address misconceptions to secure strong pupil progress

Provide clear, constructive feedback to support learning

Support every student to achieve at or above expected progress across all levels
