Protocol Education is supporting a secondary school in Central London to recruit a talented and ambitious Teacher of Business Studies (and Economics).

About the Role

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Business and Economics lessons that drive outstanding progress

  • Teach across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, including BTEC and A-level provision

  • Set high expectations to inspire and challenge all students to reach their full potential

  • Create a positive, nurturing, and orderly learning environment that promotes both academic and personal growth

  • Use data to monitor progress, identify gaps, and provide targeted interventions to support student achievement

  • Maintain regular communication with parents regarding pupil progress, behaviour, and achievement

  • Contribute to enrichment opportunities, including university links, trips, residentials, and extracurricular initiatives

  • Support the wider school community by helping maintain discipline, contributing to school culture, and participating in events and activities

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop schemes of work, share best practice, and drive continuous improvement

  • Uphold safeguarding standards and actively promote the welfare of all students


Role Details

  • Location: Central London

  • Contract: Full-time, permanent

  • Start Date: September 2025

  • Salary: £39,739 – £62,500


What We’re Looking For

  • Degree-level qualification in Business, Economics, or a closely related subject

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and eligibility to work in the UK

  • Strong subject knowledge, enthusiasm, and a passion for Business and Economics

  • Proven experience of raising attainment and driving student progress

  • Ability to create engaging lessons that develop both knowledge and skills

  • Excellent classroom management and commitment to high standards

  • Willingness to contribute to enrichment, extracurricular programs, and wider school life

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills

  • Reflective practitioner, open to feedback, and committed to professional growth

  • A genuine belief in the potential of every student
