Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and informative lessons to students in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Adhere to the school's curriculum and lesson plans
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Collaborate with other staff members and parents to support student development

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to different teaching environments

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Previous experience in teaching or working with children is preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the UK education system
  • Effective classroom management techniques
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Experience in multiple subject areas

Working Conditions:

  • Normal school hours with occasional extra-curricular activities
  • May require travel to different schools within the area
