We’re working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Leeds that’s on the lookout for a Behaviour Learning Mentor to join their team this September. If you’re someone who knows how to build trust, spot potential, and help students reset and refocus—you might just be the person they’re waiting for.

The role:

  • Work 1:1 and in small groups with students who need behavioural support

  • Help build emotional regulation strategies and social skills

  • Create a calm, structured environment where students can thrive

  • Support reintegration into class after challenging behaviour

  • Liaise with pastoral staff, SENCO, and external agencies where needed

You’ll need to bring:

  • A patient, empathetic approach (bonus points for humour and resilience)

  • Experience supporting young people with behavioural or emotional needs

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • An understanding of trauma-informed practice or a willingness to learn

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
