Sports Coach – Specialist SEND/SEMH Support

Location: Wolverhampton
Pay: £90–£100 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-term

A specialist school in Wolverhampton is urgently seeking a Sports Coach to support students with SEND and SEMH needs. This role is available to start immediately.

The Role

  • Lead and support PE sessions that build confidence, resilience, and teamwork

  • Use sport to promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to help students access learning

  • Work alongside teachers and therapists to create a safe, structured environment

Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND/SEMH needs

  • A calm, patient, and professional approach

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships

  • A genuine passion for supporting young people through sport

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
