We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Sports Coach to join our team as a Cover Supervisor in various secondary schools. This role primarily involves delivering engaging and effective PE lessons, but flexibility is essential as you may be required to cover other subjects as needed. If you have a love for sports, a commitment to fostering student development, and the adaptability to teach across different subjects, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons that inspire and engage students.
  • Manage classroom behavior to ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Supervise and support students during lessons across various subjects when required.
  • Follow lesson plans provided by absent teachers, maintaining consistency in teaching and learning.
  • Encourage and motivate students to participate actively in physical activities.
  • Ensure the health and safety of students during sports activities.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to aid their learning and development.
  • Assist with the organisation of school sports events and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Sports Coach with relevant coaching certifications.
  • Previous experience in teaching or coaching within an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to different teaching environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for sports and physical education.
  • Flexibility to cover a range of subjects as needed.
  • Commitment to promoting the well-being and academic progress of students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
