Support Exceptional Learners in Brent – SEND Teaching Assistant Opportunities
Are you a compassionate and adaptable individual with a passion for supporting pupils with special educational needs? Protocol Education is working in partnership with a number of welcoming SEND and inclusive primary schools in Brent, who are seeking SEND Teaching Assistants to join their dedicated teams from September 2025.
This rewarding role offers flexibility to work on a daily, part-time, or full-time basis, depending on your availability. As a SEND TA, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. You will provide 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils to access learning, build confidence and achieve their potential.
Your Key Responsibilities:

Support pupils with a range of SEND, both in class and through targeted interventions

Foster a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment

Work closely with the class teacher and other professionals to implement personalised strategies

Encourage independence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours

Provide feedback on pupil progress and contribute to planning where appropriate
We’re Looking for Someone Who:

Has experience supporting children with SEND in a school or care setting

Demonstrates patience, empathy, and adaptability in dynamic environments

Can build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff

Is committed, reliable, and enthusiastic about making a difference

Is available for daily supply, part-time, or full-time placements from September 2025

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
