We’re looking for enthusiastic Sociology graduates to join secondary schools across Newcastle as Teaching Assistants. You’ll play a key role in supporting pupils’ learning, wellbeing, and confidence—helping them thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
What you’ll be doing:

Supporting pupils in lessons and helping them stay engaged

Working 1:1 or with small groups to build confidence and skills

Supporting behaviour management and positive classroom routines

Using your sociology insights to connect with young people from diverse backgrounds
What we’re looking for:

A Sociology graduate (or soon-to-be graduate)

Strong communication, empathy, and people skills

A positive, proactive approach to supporting young learners

Any previous experience with children or young people (schools, youth work, mentoring, tutoring) is a bonus!
