Are you a compassionate and resilient Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a child's life?
Protocool Education are working in partnership with a welcoming 2-form entry primary school in South Birmingham to recruit a Year 3 SEND TA to support a child with additional needs on a 1:1 basis. This is a long-term opportunity starting in September and continuing for the full academic year, with potential for a permanent role.

The school has an experienced SLT and SENCO and prides itself on strong support for both staff and pupils. You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive staff team who work collaboratively to meet pupils' academic and emotional needs. The school has excellent SEND provision and a track record of supporting TAs with training and progression.


The Role:

  • Supporting a child in Year 3 with SEND needs (including Autism and Speech & Language difficulties)

  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement EHCP targets

  • Using a calm, patient and consistent approach to support behaviour and engagement

  • Delivering tailored interventions to support learning, communication and social development

  • Keeping clear and detailed records of progress and behaviour


What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs – particularly Autism, SLCN or SEMH

  • A calm and nurturing personality

  • A commitment to inclusive education and personalised learning

  • A relevant TA qualification (Level 2 or 3) is desirable but not essential

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
