We’re working with a welcoming primary school in Sunderland who are looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team this September. You’ll be supporting pupils with additional needs, helping them feel confident, included, and ready to learn.

Your role will include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support for children with SEND

  • Assisting with classroom activities, routines, and transitions

  • Helping pupils with social skills, communication, and emotional regulation

  • Working closely with teachers, SENCO, and families to support learning plans

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience supporting children with SEND (autism, ADHD, speech and language needs desirable)

  • A caring, patient approach with a good sense of humour

  • Team spirit and strong communication skills

  • A genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their best

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
