An Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ school in Shrewsbury is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive and welcoming team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs, helping them feel secure, valued, and ready to learn.

This role is ideal for experienced teaching assistants, recent graduates, or individuals considering a future in teaching. You’ll work closely with pupils who require tailored support, building trusted relationships and promoting positive progress in and out of the classroom.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children with SEND, or a strong interest in this area

  • Can follow Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) to meet individual learning needs

  • Is patient, empathetic, and genuinely committed to inclusive education

  • Brings a calm, adaptable approach to supporting children with diverse needs

  • Works well as part of a team and communicates clearly with staff and students
