Love supporting young people who need an extra hand to thrive in school?

We’re looking for brilliant SEND Teaching Assistants to join our team, working in secondary schools across Newcastle and Northumberland. These schools have ARCs and inclusion bases where your calm presence makes a world of difference.

You’ll be working with pupils who may have autism, ADHD or SEMH needs – helping them stay engaged, build confidence, and feel part of the school community.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting students in lessons and small groups

  • Helping to create a safe and positive learning environment

  • Working closely with SENCOs, teachers and pastoral teams

  • Being that steady, encouraging presence pupils can rely on

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience with young people who have additional needs (school, youth work, coaching – all great backgrounds!)

  • A positive, patient and resilient approach

  • Someone ready to get stuck in and make a difference every day

What you get from us:

  • £90–£110 per day (£450–£550 per week) paid weekly, PAYE – no umbrella faff

  • FREE Thrive training to boost your skills (schools love this!)

  • A friendly local consultant who knows Newcastle and Northumberland schools inside out

  • Ongoing roles in great schools that value their support staff

If you’re ready to take on a role where your support changes lives, we’d love to hear from you.
