What we’re looking for:

  • Experience with SEND: A background in supporting children with SEMH needs, tailoring your approach to meet individual requirements.
  • Key skills: Patience, empathy, strong communication, and adaptability.
  • Preferred qualifications: De-escalation skills and Team Teach training are desirable but not essential.
  • Commitment: A passion for creating inclusive, supportive environments for all pupils.

Your responsibilities as a SEMH Teaching Assistant will include:

  • 1:1 interventions: Providing targeted support to help pupils engage with their learning.
  • Adaptations: Assisting in creating classroom environments where every child can thrive.
  • Communication: Supporting pupils in expressing their needs and working closely with teachers and parents.
  • Record keeping: Monitoring progress and ensuring detailed documentation for each pupil.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
